The road was unlighted and dark as we sped along
Black Rock Road toward Jane's Garden Grill. I was driving
fast and getting thrilled in anticipation of the pleasures, the
night might bring about. My overexcitement was becoming
too obvious.
"There it is Ted, just take it easy on the gas now," she said.
There were but only few cars already on the parking bay.
I geared the Camry to park.
Nicole punctuated. "It's Saturday night, I hope Jane's Grill
is not full yet. It is normally packed on weekends."
And I just boastfully mumbled, "Uumm..D-dont you w-
worry." I was feeling confident and satisfied. The night was all
pre-arranged.
The cool mountain breeze brought by a nearby thriving pine
forest whipped into my face as I opened the car door. Nights
in Cove Fort was beginning to fascinate me. It is quite warm
in the morning but nippy and quiet at night...Los Angeles is a
contrast.
From her home, it took us just about ten minutes to get to
the restaurant, a fine western-style eating-place, five miles at
the north edge of town. The facade was an old pioneer-like
log house that overlooked the wide stream of Cove Creek.
It has an extended porch that can seat about fifty guests.

from the author
This novel is purely a work of fiction. Nevertheless, some of the events mentioned in the story may have already happened and though imaginary characters depicted here rolled around these events, any resemblance to actual names of persons, living or deceased, real events and locales, is wholly coincidental.
Of Passion Play is humbly, my masterpiece.
It is my first book and though I've conceptualized the plot of the story a long time in the past, drawing the ornate first letter and writing the concluding word of the epilogue took almost a year to complete. The initial manuscript was edited, rewritten and re-edited several times for another five months until the final piece is done. But, publication became a standing block, a high wall to scale specially for first-time authors like myself wishing to have this printed. So, I decided to change strategy and transcribe Of Passion Play from traditional paperback format to a version in computerbytes and codes for viewing in the internet. I 've presented here as an overview of the book, excerpts from some exciting chapters which I hope you'll like.
