An excerpt from "The Capitulation"...Chapter 1
Why? Why are these things happening?" I was
asking myself in prayer, pleading Him for death while
kneeling before an altar ashen with dust, starkly illumined
by flickers of few kindled wicks and some faint stars in
the night sky that shine through a large gap above the
massive church dome...now uncrowned.
The air is filled with the whiff of scented wax and
an incessant aroma coming from burnt incense. And
while smoldered pews were scattered in disarray, not a
single soul remained but a marble life-size carving of
Archangel Gabriel inside the ruined cathedral of Saint
Mary's.
He alone stood guard near the altar, remained
motionless, face pallid with dirt and ashes, while holding
his gilded sword unbroken...a lone sentry to the tattered
statuaries of Mary, the Virgin and her Son, unmoved,
still nailed to his cross.
I’m alone now, tired, lonely and exhausted from a long
journey, searching for dear loved ones I know I’d never
find alive again. I’ve been here for hours, anticipating the
next and second coming, relentlessly asking God His
mercy, for an end to come and see death, before man’s
folly destroys and completely ceases humanity.

from the author
This novel is purely a work of fiction. Nevertheless, some of the events mentioned in the story may have already happened and though imaginary characters depicted here rolled around these events, any resemblance to actual names of persons, living or deceased, real events and locales, is wholly coincidental.
Of Passion Play is humbly, my masterpiece.
It is my first book and though I've conceptualized the plot of the story a long time in the past, drawing the ornate first letter and writing the concluding word of the epilogue took almost a year to complete. The initial manuscript was edited, rewritten and re-edited several times for another five months until the final piece is done. But, publication became a standing block, a high wall to scale specially for first-time authors like myself wishing to have this printed. So, I decided to change strategy and transcribe Of Passion Play from traditional paperback format to a version in computerbytes and codes for viewing in the internet. I 've presented here as an overview of the book, excerpts from some exciting chapters which I hope you'll like.
